We really enjoyed our time spent here learning of the history of the monument. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and knowledgeable and share their thoughts and knowledge with us. There is far more here than the monument--well worth the cost of admission. we loved the displays in the museum and the other structures that are on site. A must visit if you are in the area
Absolutely amazing experience!
So much rich history here. Tons of things to see, authentic clothing, a teepee, hand carved things, buffalo skins, beautiful quilts....too much to name. The video is amazing. And you can see the love the family has that's taking care of this great commission. The Indian taco was to die for and the view from the restaurant was amazing. I'm so happy I was able to tour this amazing place.
We spent many hours exploring and learning about so many aspects of this monument.
I first visited this site in 1999, and then most recently in 2017. It was awesome to see how much progress was made on the memorial in that time. This is a must see when visiting Mount Rushmore. The dedication of this one family to finishing this memorial and their support of the American Indians history and culture is admirable. You can easily spend the entire day here with all of the things that you can do and the programs. Amazing gift shops and restaurants. The buffet was good. Service quirky.

Fantastic monument. So much more impressive in person. The facilities are nice. The museum is a little boring though. Definitely recommend the movie. The evening laser show is good but not great. The best part is the end where they overlay the outline of the finished product with the laser on the mountain. Also recommend donating to fund progress.
